Ministry of State for Personnel Mr. Jitendra Singh today launched a face recognition technology, will be know as "unique" and it will act as a id proof or document for applying the 'life certificate' of the pensioners, it will reduce the struggle of the retired and elderly citizens or who ever will be beneficiary of central government pension schemes. This is very important step as every year this pensioners have to submit the life certificate proof to continue receiving the pensions. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions has already implemented a facility of giving the certificate digitally.
"The central government has been sensitive to the needs of pensioners and to ensure ease of living for them. Soon after coming to power in 2014, the government decided to introduce and implement digital life certificate for the pensioners. This unique face recognition technology will further help pensioners,"

During the announcement Mr. Singh consider it as historic decision for providing the face recognition technology for the life certificate because it will not only benefit the 60 lakh central government pensioners but also who comes under EPFO and State government.
Ministry of State for Personnel thanks that Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as well as UIDAI for providing the technology and making such initiative possible.
