Google is working on its own made first SoC chipset which will be included in the Google Pixel 6. This is first time Google Pixel will be powered with the Google made hardware chipset. The chipset on which Google is working is named as 'GS101 Whitechapel SoC' and Google Pixel 6 will be the first smartphone to be powered with this processor.

This reports are claimed by the 9to5Google who have access to an internal document suggesting that Google Pixel 6 will be powered with this first ever made Google GS101 Whitechapel SoC chipset.

The reports also suggest that the Google CEO Sundar Pichai had teased a investment in the hardware and promised a good return in terms of revenue.

Whitechapel SoC indicates that now Google is following Apple footprints who uses its own made chipset in all its iOS device and MacBook lineups.

As Google is working on its own chipset then we can considered that in upcoming days Whitechapel might replace the current two dominate SoC chipset which are Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek Dimensity.
